About Me
About Me

My official title is Outreach Mobilization Pastor for Mariners Church. But as we all know, titles rarely encompass the full scope of who we are.

My life goes beyond job titles and rarely fits neatly into boxes. To be honest my life has been a mess, filled with brokenness and betrayal. Through the lessons I’ve learned and the trials I’ve endured, I’m passionate about creating authentic relationships with people, domestically and internationally, that are focused on reciprocity. I love wrestling through the idea of learning from others on how we can serve the same God.

As a by-product of these relationships and ideas, I’m able to see the hearts of the people from Mariners Church encounter God in a fresh, new way as we create opportunities to learn and serve alongside our international church partners. With the amount of amazing thoughts, strategies and conversations occurring, I wanted to create a space and place to dialog, ask questions, and challenge our Western way of thinking as we engage with the global Church and the forever changing multicultural reality of our communities and churches. Comments, questions, and dialog are greatly encouraged here!

After obtaining my degree in Marketing and Advertising from Drake University and working in the Christian and non-Christian sectors, I attended Fuller Seminary and received my MA in Christian Leadership. I have been on staff at Mariners Church since 2005 and have been blessed to have the opportunity to travel to foreign cities and see first hand how God is moving. I have two amazing children (Parker and Ryen) and recently proposed to the wonderful and amazingly beautiful Bianca Juarez. We will be married in September 2010.
